Company overview
Sensaphone manufactures remote environmental monitoring systems that watch temperature, humidity, power, water leaks, equipment status, and other critical conditions across unattended facilities and send instant alerts via phone call, text, and email when thresholds are crossed. The product line starts with the Sensaphone Sentry, a compact cellular unit that monitors up to five conditions for small-site applications, and scales up through the Sensaphone Sentinel, which handles 12 conditions. The Sentinel Pro adds 64 sensor inputs and the ability to connect directly to building automation controllers and PLCs: the programmable computers that run industrial equipment. The IMS-4000E is a rack-mounted system designed for data centers and enterprise facilities that need to monitor dozens of conditions across multiple rooms from a single unit. Sensaphone Cloud aggregates data across deployed devices into a single dashboard accessible from desktop and mobile, with multi-device management, configurable alert routing, and historical trend analysis.
Sensaphone operates a hybrid hardware-as-a-service model that bundles hardware and connectivity into a turnkey monitoring service. Customers purchase Sensaphone monitoring devices upfront, then subscribe to a monthly cellular plan that covers everything they need to operate the system: cloud hosting, the cellular data connection itself (provided through AT&T, Verizon, or Rogers), and unlimited text, phone, and email alerts. The Sentry cellular subscription is $14.95 per month and the Sentinel subscription is $24.95 per month, with no separate per-message or overage fees. Customers who already have internet at the deployment site can run Sentinel devices on a free tier with full data visibility, upgrading to a premium subscription only when they need active alerting. The structure removes the operational complexity of negotiating cellular contracts separately, integrating with carrier billing, or budgeting for unpredictable alert volumes. Sensaphone handles the entire stack so a water utility or pharmacy can deploy a unit at a remote site and start receiving alerts within minutes.
