Rocsole

Rocsole builds electrical-tomography sensors that ring around process pipes and pressure vessels and image what's flowing through them in real time. The sensor reads electrical permittivity and conductivity at every point on the cross-section, then reconstructs a live picture of oil, water, emulsion, foam, gas, and solids inside opaque flow that no optical or single-point probe can see. The two product systems are LiquiDetect 2.0, a level and interface monitor for upstream separators that distinguishes water, emulsion, oil, and foam to drive separator control, and SoliDetect 1.0, a sand and solids monitor that watches buildup in pipelines and vessels through fouling. Both products run on Rocsole's SeeBeyond platform, the company's proprietary tomography imaging engine and analytics layer, which collects the cross-section data, runs interface and buildup models against it, and feeds the operator's existing process-control systems. The technology was developed for medical imaging and repurposed for industrial applications; Rocsole holds the patents on the underlying tomography methods.

Today Rocsole sells the sensor system and the SeeBeyond analytics layer together as a single hybrid deployment: the customer buys the LiquiDetect or SoliDetect unit, the platform that turns the cross-section data into interface and buildup signals comes with it, and the operator integrates the output into their own automation. The path forward in the model is Data-as-a-Service, a recurring fee that would give the operator a continuous feed of process intelligence and predictive-maintenance forecasts off the sensor rather than a one-time purchase. Sales today run direct for large oil and gas operators and through a global representative network for regional service delivery. The recurring layer is where the company sees its trajectory.
