Company overview
Flux Power manufactures lithium-ion battery packs that replace the lead-acid batteries in forklifts, walkie pallet jacks, airport baggage equipment, and warehouse robots. The product line covers the full range of powered industrial equipment: the S-Series fits walkie pallet jacks, the M24 and M36 power end riders and narrow-aisle forklifts, the L-Series and X-Series handle the larger counterbalance forklifts used in multi-shift warehouses and cold storage facilities, the G-Series is built for airport ground support equipment like baggage tractors and belt loaders, and the C-Series powers automated guided vehicles and autonomous mobile robots on the warehouse floor. Every pack uses lithium iron phosphate chemistry, carries UL safety certification, and includes built-in heaters so the batteries keep working in freezer environments. Each battery ships with SkyBMS, Flux Power's onboard management system that tracks voltage, temperature, and charge state and feeds that data to SkyEMS, the company's cloud-based fleet energy management platform. SkyEMS gives the fleet manager a dashboard showing the real-time status of every battery across every facility, flags maintenance needs before they cause downtime, and provides remote diagnostics so a technician can troubleshoot a pack without walking out to the equipment. A new hardware module called SkyLink Telematics adds an onboard processor that runs analytics and machine learning directly on the battery.
Flux operates as a hybrid hardware-as-a-service business that bundles the battery hardware with a cloud subscription. Customers can buy the battery packs outright as capital equipment or lease them when upfront cost is a barrier. SkyEMS is sold as a tiered subscription on top of the hardware: the base tier provides fleet monitoring and remote diagnostics, and a premium tier adds AI-powered intelligent alerts and battery lifecycle forecasting driven by a patented state-of-health algorithm that predicts when each pack will need service or replacement. SkyEMS is the foundation of a recurring revenue strategy designed to turn each battery sale into an ongoing software relationship: the more packs a customer deploys, the more SkyEMS subscriptions it carries. That structure also keeps Flux Power in the loop as the fleet ages: software updates improve the analytics and forecasting without requiring new hardware, and the lifecycle data flowing back from the field feeds product improvements on the next generation of packs.

"For Flux Power Holdings, Inc., this creates the opportunity to generate high-margin recurring revenue streams from sales of advanced software features and applications," says Krishna Vanka, Chief Executive Officer at Flux Power. "Our customers want more than a battery. They are looking for an energy management system to manage their assets, improve productivity, and reduce cost."
