Company overview

BoxLock makes a cellular-connected industrial smart padlock that replaces the brass-and-tag factories and job sites have used for hazardous-energy isolation. The Connected Industrial Padlock is built for the field: dual-SIM cellular radios so it works on remote sites where Wi-Fi doesn't reach, an embedded Zebra barcode scanner that ties each lock event to a specific worker badge, GPS positioning, IP66 ingress protection, a year of battery life on USB-C recharge, and real-time alerts if the lock detects a brute-force attack. Every event flows up to BoxLock Control, the company's intelligent access-control SaaS, where a safety lead sees the live feed across the deployed fleet, sets access rules per user and location, and exports the audit trail OSHA will eventually ask to see. The platform pushes those events into the construction and operations software customers already run, including Procore, Fieldwire, Autodesk Forma, Verkada video surveillance, and Zapier, so the lockout record lives inside the system of record instead of a paper binder.

BoxLock sells the padlock as a one-time hardware purchase to the enterprise customer and runs the recurring layer on top through the BoxLock Control SaaS platform that handles every lock event, audit trail, and automation rule across the deployed fleet. The model is hybrid recurring: the customer's capex is the padlock fleet itself, and the operating spend is the Control platform, the integrations with the customer's existing construction and operations software, and the cellular data plan that keeps every lock online. BoxLock sells direct to large industrial accounts and through partner integrations. The integration-first model is how BoxLock lands inside the construction and operations stack a contractor or safety team is already using rather than asking them to swap to a new system of record.
